Dear Carol,
I like a boy who doesn’t know I exist. I’m afraid to go up and talk to him because I
don’t want it to be awkward, and I don’t want him to get weirded out that a random
girl is talking to him.
– Hey
Dear Hey,
If you want this boy to know you exist, you’ll have to be brave and put yourself out there. Give him a little smile. You don’t have to talk to him yet. But take that one baby step. That way you can begin to get to know him and gauge his interest before your crush gets bigger. Worth the risk, no? He may even smile back. Rest assured, there’s never anything weird about being friendly.
